Studios of Dreams by Guia Besana

The Moulin Rouge extends it’s wooden arms as to embrace in a welcome visitors. Legs, laughts and thousands of feathers.Dancers resemble little dolls synchronized in a majestic dance. The sound of boot heels violently echos on the wooden stage, worn by time and charged with history and memories. The rythm of a well known music, in one instant, recalls the spirit of old Paris. The cat-walks of the haute couture, silks,  velvet, organzas and tulle of gowns and dresses. Magnificient hats of multiple shapes capture sights. A woman with voice of an angel slowly lets the tail of her robe slip on the stage. The sharp sound of the chant runs through the tight corset stitched with knowledge. Everyone is bond and listen: The Opera. The circus. Lights are switched off and the blazy decorations and embroyderies of costumes shine in the dark. Childhood memories come to surface and slowly leave place to fantasy. But who, in this city, where the night is inhabited by shows and dreams, consacrated life to details?
The love and passion for these artisanal professions which slowly are vanishing, bringing away with them all the secrets of hand-craft ability, inheritance of centuries, lives in the last ateliers. Three men and four women, masters of crafts knowledge, made of their passion their profession, leaving the ovations to the players on stage.
