Ayodhya, a small, even sleepy, town in central India, as many other Indian pilgrim centres, is replete with places associated with the life of Ram, most of them temples; small as it is, Ayodhya has more than 7000 temples. Pilgrims have been going there for ages believing it to be the place Ram belonged.
