Bisso by Nicola Pinna

Bisso is a collection of silky fibres, produced by a sea mollusc called pinna nobilis  (more commonly – "nacchera”), that hang down from the shell allowing the mollusc to anchor itself to the sea bed.
It is a craft that has survived in Sardinia because, due to its insularity, its way of life and customs as well as its skills for making precious products of rare beauty have been passed down from generation to generation, as in the case of the weaving precious fabrics like bisso.
