The Grey - About the industrial Polish region Upper Silesia by Rafal Milach

For more than hundred years Upper Silesia used to be the most industrial part of Germany and then Poland. hard work, religion and strong regional tradition were the essence of life of Silesia's people. Since the heavy industry fall down in recent years, Upper Silesia's world are not the only problems of 4 million people Silesia.

With Poland's huge mining industry glory days long gone, what we are left with is a landscape of decay. Natural environment suffering the consequences and human lives turned into misery, as unemployment and lack of any hope shape everyday lives of Silvesia's people.
