The Golden Horse Temple by Mario Weigt
The Buddhist monk Phra Khru Bah Nuachai Kosito, a former Thai boxer and soldier, lives near the Thai-Burmese border in notorious terrain of the Golden Triangle. Since 15 years, he build on the mountains the Golden Horse Temple (Wat Tham Paa Archathong), a school, a stadium and housings for orphans and poor boys from nearby villages. Phra Khru Bah and the novices ride always on the horseback through the mountains. Khru Bah (teacher) Nuachai Kosito teaches them Buddhism, riding and thai-boxing. Like a father, the Buddhist monk takes care of the novices in his temple.
