Camp of Les Milles by Jose Nicolas

Living memory at the camp of Les Milles 10,000 prisoners from 27 nationalities passed through these walls during the occupation: opponents of Vichy, Republicans Spaniards, refugees from Central Europe, recently naturalized Frençh people. And 2500 Jews left this camp near Aix for Auschwitz. The controversy revolves around the future of this camp. Should they make it a simple place of remembrance or carry out the ambitious project of a centre dedicated to Tolerance.
