Against Putin by Igor Starkov
This selection is about anti-government rallies in today's Russia. I worked at five rallies all in all, organized by the United Civil Front led by ex-chess champion Garry Kasparov. I focused on portraits, I was interested in stepping back from standards used in shooting rallies, so I used a flash with a cord. That's a way to look at those who oppose Putin, just to gaze into their faces.
Everything is quite fresh, spring and summer 2007, and still relevant, we have elections very soon. Got nice pictures, it seems.
