Helima Arush is the former wife of a rich Somali war lord. After her husband was killed in the Somalian internal endless struggles, she decided to dedicate herself to pacification. She founded the IIDA Women Association, with a school where a team of local teachers give culture and skills to children and teenagers. IIDA also give food and social assistance to the poorest children and to their families. They take care of the orphans, and gather a number of local artisans to sell their products in a kind of fair trade commerce.
