Barbie Store in Shanghai by Daniele Mattioli
The world's largest flagship store dedicated entirely to Barbie has been opened in March 2009 in Shanghai. The opening day was also the 50 years anniversary of the most famous and controversial dolls created by Mattel. The big store is divided in 6 floors and it has interesting different options such as the Restaurant (managed by famous chef Laris) , a Barbie Spa, a candy bar and a fashion store which try to extend the Barbie fever to a more adult customers by proposing a serious fashionable series of items which differ from the usual pinky idea of barbie. The store has also a collection of different dolls from all over the world and a Marylin Monroe Barbie series.
