The Sun Blessing by Moshe Shai
Every 28 years, when, (as the Talmud says), the sun returns to the exact position, and at the same time of the week, that it occupied at the time of its creation, Jews come together to mark that event. A special blessing ? called Birkat Hachamah, 'the sun blessing' ? is recited to mark this event and to thank God who gave us the sun.
