Italy's Political Pollution by Daniele Mattioli
Italy is experiencing a delicate moment in democracy, the power or Prime minister Berlusconi has grown to a wider range among italian population , his skills and power to control the media (he owns three major Tv station and he has political influence on two of the RAI National tv station ) has given him a strong presence in every news. But what is politics in Italy? It has been always folkloristic for many but also a conservative act to preserve Italy as it is and the lack of a great need of innovation. As Moravia (well known Italian writer ) used to say "Italians are perhaps the best to recognize between beauty and ugliness but the worse to recognize what is right or not " italy has failed the goal to modernity and each election is big show of political pollution in tv but also on the street. I have spent time watching political debate in tv, people fighting for a better italy, looks like, but they just want to keep italy as it is. And the streets are full of smiling faces which try to get a vote , a confidence among people.....
