The Mosque - No Mosque no Cemetery by Giorgos Moutafis

Thousands of Muslims from Arab nations, Africa and the Indian subcontinent, who had settled in Greece during the last 40 years, who embraced Islam after studying it, or after getting married to Muslims now live and work in Greece. Each of the groups has its own language and traditions. There number is estimated to exceed 800.000. Surprisingly, there is no official mosque or official cemetery in Greece for them up to the moment, only unofficial mosques depended exclusively in private efforts. Muslims have been trying to get the authorization of creating a cemetery since 2005 and yet nothing. Muslims are forced to practice their religious duties even in open parks and the situation gets worse when they have a funeral.
