Festa dos Rapazes - Boys' Feast in Ousilhao by Fausto Giaccone

On December 26th The boys from Ousilhao meet very early in the morning and then, always dancing and singing to the rhythm of drums, castanets and bagpipes, spread all over the village terrorizing their neighbours. It is a kind of ritualized violence that gradually leaves space to a warm collective celebration in which all the villagers take part offering food, wine and hospitality, turning the devils raid into a big open-door banquet where everybody is invited.
