Ciater Hot Spring in Indonesia is a nice park with natural pools fed by warm mineral springs, which are created by the heat from nearby Tangkuban Perahu volcano. It is located at the height of over 1000m, in the middle of huge tea estate, surrounded by natural green terraces of this precious plant. Only 8km southwest from Ciater is the famous Kawah Ratu crater of the Tangkuban Perahu volcano, the main tourist attraction of the city of Bandung area, the country's third largest city, and the capital of the West Java province. The warm water, which could reach up to 45C, contains iodium and sulfur, is good primarily for curing skin ailments and rheumatism, but it is believed that has much wider positive effects. These healing features, in pair with the fact that majority of Indonesian either do not have, or have poor health coverage, make out of Ciater an always crowded place, an indispensable "natural health care system". Entertainment and relaxation facilities, as well as relatively affordable entrance (daily ticket costs app. $2), contribute to permanent flaw of people to this spa.
